Ace Hardware Middleton Polished Concrete

Rocky’s Ace Hardware in Middleton MA wanted a floor that is easy to maintain, resistant to wear and spills, slip resistant and had a minimal lifetime cost. Our solution was to give them our Commercial Finish Polished Concrete Floor.

Our Commercial Polish is a medium-gloss finish with semi-exposed aggregate. It is an indoor application for retail areas, shop fronts, and indoor public spaces. By choosing our Commercial Finish, the result is a floor that is functional, easy to clean and requires little maintenance while remaining aesthetically pleasing.

This particular floor had previously been covered by carpet, so it was essential to completely remove all of the remaining carpet glue with special tooling on our floor grinders. After the glue was completely removed we followed a 12 step process of Grinding, chemical treatment, polishing, and finishing treatment. Through this, we were able to create a beautiful stain-and-wear-resistant floor that will last for decades.

Another goal that we were able to achieve was getting the floor to have high light reflection through our polishing process. Getting the floor to reflect light is a great way to brighten up a space that has few windows. Light reflection is one of the many benefits of polished concrete because it greatly reduces lighting energy requirements.
