Ora Clinical in Andover, MA wanted us to remove an old floor that was peeling in their 2500 square foot office space and provide them with a new durable epoxy floor. Their old floor had a product that was not holding up because the previous installer had not properly prepared the floor for the epoxy to bond to. We knew this because upon our initial grind to remove the coating, we found remaining carpet glue from a previous floor covering.
Our solution was to use special diamond floor tooling on our Husquvarna grinders to remove both the existing floor and the remaining carpet glue underneath it. This would provide great adhesion for our product to go down and ensuring that it would stay down for good this time. Ora also wanted to put their Logo on the floor which we were able to provide by putting down two different shades of our Metallic Epoxy.
Ora is a full-service ophthalmic clinical research and product development firm, with potential clients coming in they needed their entryway to be aesthetically pleasing, easy to clean and also blemish free. Like many floors in the health care industry, Ora needed a slip resistant, anti-microbial surface with low downtime. Mclean Flooring was able to provide them with all of their requirements, working through the weekend to get the project done to their satisfaction. The outcome was an exceptionally beautiful floor finish that exceeded their expectations and gave the office a “Wow” factor as soon as you walked through the door.
