Paul Gentile of Gentile Brewing Company approached us as he was starting his own business after years of working for another Brewing Company. He described the mess and constant wear of old concrete floors in the facility he formerly worked at and wanted a better solution for his company. Alcohol is acidic in nature which takes its toll on common floors such as bare concrete or even painted/sealed. Paul wanted a floor that was above all durable (able to take the abuse of the brewing process), easy to clean, and aesthetically pleasing.
This system contains zero VOC’s, resists caustics, organic and inorganic acids and many other harsh chemicals. It is ideal for use in food and beverage processing plants and commercial kitchens. It meets all of the USDA/FDA guidelines for use in federally inspected facilities which Paul was concerned about as he needed to pass inspection in a few weeks time. One of the great things about this product is that it can tolerate large temperature swings (Thermal Shock) which allows the floor to be properly cleaned no matter the temperature.
The end result for Gentile Brewing Company was a beautiful non-slip floor that will meet the demanding needs of the brewing business. By putting up our epoxy cove base on the walls we were able to provide a truly seamless flooring system that will last for years to come. Also before we left the job site we tested to make sure that the urethane had excellent adhesion to the repaired/ shot blasted concrete floor. We wish Paul the best as he starts his new business and we were happy to provide a solution to his flooring needs.
